How to Unlock Broom Flight in Witchspire

This is the canonical run for the whole unlock: it walks the Golem fight straight into the Hearth and crafting steps. The numbered chain below is the same route in text if you'd rather follow along.

What you need first

Broom flight prerequisites

  • Reach the Level 7 "Take to the Skies" main quest (the game prompts this chain)
  • Defeat the Aloonian Golem at Al'uunian Tower to get the Tear of Aloon
  • Hearth upgraded to Level 4 (Witchcraft Circle needs Hearth Lv3; the Simple Broom needs Hearth Lv4)
  • 5 Spirit Dust + 25 Stone (Witchcraft Circle)
  • 5 Spirit Dust + 3 Fine Wood (Simple Broom)

The full unlock chain

  1. 01

    Beat the Aloonian Golem → Tear of Aloon

    Defeat the Golem at Al'uunian Tower in Timberline Basin. It drops the Tear of Aloon, the key item that feeds Hearth progression.

  2. 02

    Upgrade the Hearth to Level 4

    Use the Tear of Aloon and your materials to push the Hearth to Level 4. The Witchcraft Circle unlocks at Hearth Lv3; the Simple Broom recipe at Hearth Lv4 — so you need Lv4 for both stages.

  3. 03

    Build the Witchcraft Circle

    On the central tree strand, unlock and build the Witchcraft Circle using 5 Spirit Dust + 25 Stone. This is what unlocks the broom recipe.

  4. 04

    Craft the Simple Broom

    At the Witchcraft Circle, craft the Simple Broom with 5 Spirit Dust + 3 Fine Wood.

    💡 Farm Fine Wood and Spirit Dust before this step so you're not blocked.

  5. 05

    Equip the broom and press V

    Equip the Simple Broom, then press V to take flight.

  6. 06

    Activate the Flight Pillar

    Flight is gated per region by Flight Pillars — you must activate the pillar in each area (e.g. the one near Vyr's Landing) before you can fly there.

The two things people miss

It's Hearth Level 4 (not 3) that gates the broom recipe, and once equipped you fly with the V key. If you can craft the broom but still can't fly somewhere, you haven't activated that region's Flight Pillar yet.
