Witchspire Luminaries — Best Picks First
Luminaries are Witchspire's constellation-inspired skill tree — the primary progression system that gates equipment, recipes, workbenches, tools, farming, passives and combat upgrades. You earn 1 Luminary point per level-up. Spend your earliest points on Stellar Burst, Arcflare Coil, the Spirit Logging Sickle and Basic Cooking Recipes. There's no respec, so plan before you commit.
Best Luminaries to unlock first
With no respec available, your first handful of points matter most. These four nodes give the strongest early return — covering combat, resource gathering and survival.
- 01
Stellar Burst (combat)
Unlocks the Stellar Burst wand — the strongest early ranged weapon and a big magical-combat boost. Top priority if you fight at range.
💡 Ranged players grab this first; melee players take Arcflare Coil instead.
- 02
Arcflare Coil (melee combat)
Unlocks the Arcflare Coil Spell Blade for close-combat builds. The melee counterpart to Stellar Burst.
- 03
Spirit Logging Sickle (gathering)
Unlocks the Spirit Logging Sickle, which chops trees ~2x faster. Wood is the core early crafting resource, so this pays for itself fast.
- 04
Basic Cooking Recipes (survival)
Opens early food recipes for sustain and buffs — cheap, broadly useful, and a smooth pickup once combat and gathering are covered.
The Tree of Luminaries
The Witchcraft Circle sits on the central strand of the tree and is the prerequisite for the broom-flight chain. If broom travel is your goal, route toward it deliberately — the path runs through this node.
How Luminaries work
Luminaries progression at a glance.
| Aspect | Detail |
|---|---|
| Earning points | 1 Luminary point per character level-up. |
| XP source | Completing quests and combat both grant XP. |
| What it gates | Equipment, recipes, workbenches, tools, farming, passives and combat upgrades. |
| Respec | Not available — point spends are permanent in the current Early Access build. |
Witchspire currently has no way to refund or reallocate Luminary points. Every point is permanent, so commit your early ones to the high-value nodes above rather than experimenting. Treat the first ~10 levels as a planned route, not a sandbox.
